How Spelltower works
How do I play Spelltower?
Tap adjacent letters — orthogonal or diagonal — to trace a word, then tap the last tile again to submit. Words must be at least 3 letters and in our dictionary. Valid words clear the tiles; letters above fall down. Score points for every cleared word; aim for a high final score.
What words count?
We use a bundled dictionary of about 2,600 common 3-7 letter English words. No proper nouns, no abbreviations, no plurals not in standard usage. The dictionary is the same for everyone on the same day.
How is the score calculated?
Each letter has a Scrabble-like point value (1 for common letters, up to 10 for Q and Z). Your word score = letter values × length bonus (3-letter words score base, 7-letter words score 3×). Higher-letter, longer words win.
Is there a tile respawn?
No. The puzzle is finite — once tiles are cleared, they stay cleared. The challenge is finding the highest-scoring path through a static board.
When does the puzzle reset?
Every day at 00:00 UTC. Your best score for today is saved locally.
