Typeshift · how to play
Typeshift in 30 seconds
- Five vertical letter columns sit on the board, each with five letters stacked top to bottom.
- The middle row is highlighted — that's the active row.
- Tap the ▲ or ▼ on any column to rotate its letters up or down.
- When the active row spells a valid target word, it gets discovered.
- Find all 5 target words to win.
Scoring
There's no guess limit. Your total shift count is your score — fewer is better, and it appears in your share string. Daily streaks track your consecutive days of solving.
Tips
- Common letter patterns (TH-, CH-, -ING) help you spot likely targets faster.
- Watch the column letters — if a column has both a vowel and a consonant in promising positions, lock that one first.
- Once you've found 3 words, the 4th and 5th are often forced.
